Method

1. 1Step : Preheat the oven to 170°C.
2. 2Step : Heat the milk and cream, then add the peeled garlic clove and 1 pinch of nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper.
3. 3Step : Wash, peel, and thinly slice the potatoes using a mandoline. Submerge them into the saucepan with the milk and cream. Cook for 10 min. Rub the baking dish with crushed garlic. Pour the mixture into the gratin dish or Dutch oven.
4. 4Step : Dot with small knobs of butter and bake for 30 min.
5. 5Step : Enjoy hot with roast meat or simply with a green salad.
