These terms explain how Cébette works, what you can do on it and what you agree to respect. They apply to anyone who uses cebette.fr, with or without an account.
Cébette is published by Hubert Gouillard, sole trader (details in the legal notice). The site lets you create, import and save recipes, sort them into cookbooks, share them, comment on them, rate them and follow other cooks.
Cébette is free. If paid features are added, their terms and price will be shown to you before any payment, and you will never be charged without your consent.
We do our best to keep the site available and working well, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, an update or an outage.
You can browse public recipes without an account. To publish, comment, rate or save recipes, you need an account: by creating one you accept these terms.
You must be at least 15 to create an account on your own; younger users need a parent's consent. You give accurate information, keep your password secret and are responsible for what is done from your account. Your username must not suggest that you are someone else.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile or by writing to us. Your profile and recipes are then deleted.
Your recipes, photos and comments remain yours, and you choose who sees each recipe.
So that Cébette can work, you grant us, free of charge, worldwide and for as long as your content is online, the right to host, reproduce, adapt (resize a photo, compute nutrition values, translate a recipe) and display it on Cébette, including in social network and search engine previews. This right is non-exclusive and ends when you delete the content.
Only publish what you have the right to publish. A list of ingredients belongs to no one, but the text and photos of a recipe found elsewhere (book, blog, website) belong to their author: rewrite it in your own words, use your own photos and credit your source.
When you import a recipe from a link, a text or a photo, keep it private if you don't have the right to share it. You alone are responsible for what you publish.
On Cébette, you must not:
Recipes and comments are published without prior review. Cébette hosts them: we are not their author and we don't monitor all of them, but we promptly remove illegal content as soon as we become aware of it.
To report a comment, use the “Report” button. For any other content, write to contact@cebette.fr with the link to the content, what the problem is and why, your name and email, and a statement that your report is made in good faith. We will reply to tell you what we decided.
Every report is reviewed by a person, with no automated decision. Depending on how serious and repeated the issue is, we may hide or remove the content, send a warning, suspend the account or delete it. The same applies to anyone who often sends manifestly unfounded reports. A recipe's author can also delete the comments posted under their recipe.
If we remove your content or restrict your account, we will tell you why by email, unless the law forbids it. You can challenge the decision within 6 months by replying to that message: it will be reviewed again. You can also go to court.
The nutrition values, scores, allergens and diets shown are computed automatically from the ingredients entered, public databases and, in part, artificial intelligence. They are estimates and may be incomplete or wrong.
They replace neither reading food labels nor the advice of a doctor or dietitian. If you have an allergy or intolerance, always check every ingredient yourself.
Recipes are written by users: follow food hygiene rules and cooking times, especially for meat, fish and eggs, and for vulnerable people.
Cébette is provided as is. The publisher is only liable for direct damage caused by its fault. Nothing in these terms limits your consumer rights or the publisher's liability for gross negligence or personal injury.
Links to other websites are provided for information: we don't control their content.
You are responsible for the content you publish. If a third party takes action against Cébette because of content you published in breach of these terms, the publisher may ask you to make good the resulting damage.
We use your data to run Cébette: your account, your content, your preferences and, only with your explicit consent, your diet, allergies and health goals to tailor recipes. We do not sell your data and we show no advertising.
It is entrusted to providers who help us run the site: Google Cloud (hosting), Sentry (error tracking), Brevo (emails) and, if you accept, Google Analytics (audience measurement).
You can access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to contact@cebette.fr. Cookies and how to complain to the CNIL (French data protection authority) are described in the legal notice.
Cébette's name, logo, design and code belong to the publisher. You may not reproduce or reuse them without permission.
These terms may change as the site evolves. For any significant change, we will let you know by email or on the site at least 15 days before it applies. If you disagree, you can delete your account; otherwise the new terms apply.
If Cébette were to close, we would let you know in advance so that you can retrieve your recipes.
These terms are governed by French law. If you disagree with us, write to us first: we will look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent court under the ordinary rules.
