Method

1. 1Step : Preheat the oven to 165°C
2. 2Step : Melt the chocolate with the butter in a double boiler.
3. 3Step : Once the chocolate has melted, remove from the heat and stir in the chestnut jam.
4. 4Step : In another bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy.
5. 5Step : Add this to the chocolate and chestnut mixture.
6. 6Step : Gradually fold in the flour + baking powder, mixing well to prevent lumps from forming.
7. 7Step : Scatter the flaked almonds over the top
8. 8Step : Butter the cake tin and pour in the batter. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes depending on your oven.
